Proving that stylish and sport-oriented cars can still be respectful of the environment, all five diesel versions of the Coupé fulfil Renault’s eco² criteria. Six-speed manual gearboxes are standard across the range with the exception of the 1.5 dCi 86 which is five-speed, and naturally the CVT.
Rounding off the Coupé range is Privilège, offering: 16” ‘Spirale‘ alloy wheels, dual zone climate control, electrically operated folding door mirrors, electrochome rear view mirror, rear armrest with storage and rear parking sensors.

Honda takes the Jazz to a whole new level
Honda will follow-up one of the most successful models in supermini history when its all-new Jazz went on sale this Autumn. At a time of rising fuel prices and financial instability, a range of low emission, high economy petrol engines makes the new model an attractive option for the increasing number of motorists looking to downsize.
By enhancing its strongest qualities, Honda engineers have taken the innovative design and versatility of the current Jazz to the next stage. Greater flexibility, more interior space and lively, but economical engines raise the bar even further in a class that’s struggled to match the Jazz for customer satisfaction and reliability.
The hugely-popular Jazz was always going to be a hard act to follow – simply because of the resounding success of the current car. As well as attracting consistently strong demand from customers in every year since its 2002 launch, the Jazz has also won over 30 industry awards, making it one of the most celebrated models ever.
The sequel builds on this success, with a more stylish, contemporary exterior design to appeal to a broader audience. A slightly larger body style brings better visibility and means Jazz is even more spacious.
And the famous Honda Magic Seats are back – but now they dive down in one action, making carrying large loads even easier. Their versatility is equalled by a new Double-Trunk boot feature in the luggage bay that can be configured in four ways to accommodate different-sized loads. Total luggage space in 1.4 models (with Double Trunk) now measures a huge 399 litres (VDA) – greater than some MPVs and bettering all in the B-sector.
For more information on the all-new Jazz contact the John Pease Honda Sales Team.
Peugeot lifts the lid on new 308 CC
As the pioneer of “folding roof cars” with its elegant 401, 601 and 402 “Eclipse” models from the 1930s, Peugeot now reveals details of its latest coupé cabriolet, the 308 CC.
It’s now over seven years since Peugeot introduced its best known coupé cabriolet, the 206 CC, which then evolved in 2003 into the 307 CC and then, in 2007, into the UK’s current best selling open top car, the 207 CC. This successful concept will shortly evolve again with the introduction of the Peugeot 308 CC.
The 308 CC, with its four full-size seats, capitalises on all the inbuilt strengths of the 308 range whilst still embodying the “307 CC spirit” and Peugeot’s coupé cabriolet expertise. Above all, it promises enthusiasts of “lifestyle” motoring a unique and genuinely attractive offer.
The 308 CC stands out due to its elegant and stylish design, both in its coupé and cabriolet configurations. A low sporty profile confirms the dynamic potential of the 308 CC and the prominent shape and spectacular LED rear lights create a unique signature for the car by day and by night.
The passenger compartment has an undeniable personality. Particularly striking in the “cabriolet” version, it has a different feel from the hatchback and creates the impression of a grand touring car.
The deeply sculpted and supportive front seats, with their integral head restraints, have an inbuilt air vent which diffuses warm air around the occupant’s neck. The rear seats also mirror this distinctive design and offer rear accommodation that is surprisingly generous for a cabriolet.
The 308 CC is available with both simple and an “integral leather” interior trim. The entire passenger compartment is now also trimmed in leather, which is unusual in this segment.
For more information on the 308 CC, speak to a member of the John Pease Peugeot Sales Team.

Marathon winning Peugeot 308 HDi
wins more plaudits!
John Pease Peugeot is delighted to announce that the Peugeot 308 has scooped the title of ‘Most economical family-sized car’ in the 2007 MPG Marathon!
Entered under the 1.6-litre HDi 110hp SE guise, the newest addition to the John Pease stable returned an impressive 71.92mpg over the challenging 330-mile route to and from Basingstoke and Torquay, with a 19.67% improvement over Peugeot’s published figures.
Peugeot’s 308 ran exclusively on Michelin’s new Energy Saving tyres, included as standard for all 1.6-litre HDi 90 and HDi 110 versions fitted with both 15” and 16” wheels. They reduce rolling resistance and provide a CO2 reduction of up to 4g/km or around one tonne of CO2 during the life of the vehicle.
The annual MPG Marathon presents competitors with a variety of driving conditions, in an attempt to recreate conditions faced each day by the average British motorist. The route provides a challenge for drivers to concentrate on reducing their fuel usage, thereby demonstrating the financial and environmental impact of what can be achieved by economical driving.
Peugeot’s 308 HDi range has CO2 emissions from just 120g/km with a highly respectable published fuel economy of up to 62.77mpg on the official Combined Cycle – but the MPG Marathon result shows that it is possible to achieve even more than that.
To check on the latest deals for the Peugeot 308 range, call John Pease Peugeot now on 01376 550502 or pop into the dealership in Manor Street, Braintree.

This accomplished model combines all the space and practicality associated with an MPV with the rugged style of an SUV, and is designed to appeal to drivers who lead busy working and family lives.

Mazda and Honda awarded top marks in reliability survey!
Mazda owners have more reasons to celebrate than usual as a recent Warranty Direct survey has awarded the brand top marks in one of the world’s largest car reliability surveys.
A highly impressive 92% of all Mazda models surveyed, aged between three and nine years old, had suffered no mechanical failure of any kind, a statistic that comfortably outperforms all other brands.
Warranty Direct, who conducted the study, looked at the reliability of nearly 500,000 vehicles from 33 manufacturers across the UK and USA and we are delighted to report that Mazda came out on top with a failure rate of just 8.04 %.
There was yet more celebration at John Pease Honda, as Honda scooped 2nd place with a failure rate of only 8.9%. To put these figures into perspective, third placed Toyota had a rate nearly double that of Mazda, Citroen in tenth had a rate of 25.98%, while Jeep brought up the rear with a 46.35% failure rate.
“The excellent results of this survey confirm both the superb build quality and excellent reliability of the Mazda range – in short, it just gets better and better!” commented Stuart Poulton, General Manager of John Pease Mazda.
Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe packs a punch
The award-winning Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe is comfortably one of the most desirable cars on the roads today. Boasting the world’s fastest retractable hardtop (at a mere 12 seconds) and a driving experience guaranteed to set pulses racing, this new model makes a compelling case for a place on your driveway.
OTR prices for the MX-5 Roadster Coupe range from £18,500 to £21,000, a modest premium over the soft-top model, but with Air Conditioning and the generous ‘Option Pack’ included as standard, few drivers, if any, will feel short changed.
John Pease Mazda customers now have the added incentive of iPod connectivity and an iPod Nano being fitted as standard across the range, ensuring that driving with your favourite sounds is now even easier than before.
General Manager Stuart Poulton commented: “Demand for this new model is very strong and the inclusion of both iPod connectivity and the iPod Nano brings even more value to the range.”
